Dr. Ramirez, general practitioner from Bogota, Colombia, dedicated his life to shamanism and ethnomedicine after heading the hospital in San José, gathering knowledge in the fields of paediatrics and psychiatry in several hospitals, and undergoing training in homoeopathy and neural therapy. From 1990 onwards Dr. Ramirez conducted ethnomedical research in Putomayo, Colombia, on ayahuasca, tobacco, and the coca plant and in 2012 he travelled to the Kogi Indians to learn about their rituals and holy plants. He also combines modern medicine with rituals from the Amazonian Ygé shamanism. And now, with great knowledge and through interesting practical exercises, he teaches us the words of the holy tobacco and how to use and better understand the spirits of plants.
